Abstracts

Abstract submission is now open!

Delegates can submit Dioxin 2017 abstracts in 2 formats: an extended abstract or a short abstract.  An extended abstract consists of ~ 4 pages that may also be published as a short paper in the 2017 volume of Organohalogen Compounds journal (See http://dioxin20xx.org/ohc_database_search.htm  for details)   or a short abstract (less than 1 page) which will be published as conference abstracts only.  Students that want to be considered for the Otto Hutzinger Student Awards must submit an extended abstract.  Format details for both abstract types are listed in the table below as well as links for templates for both short and extended abstracts for Word.docx and Adobe.pdf formats below.

Mini-orals on electronic posters at Dioxin 2017

Dioxin 2017 posters will be delivered as mini-orals using 40 inch (102 cm) electronic touch screen posters. The 300 conference posters will be presented as mini-orals in 10 poster sessions on 30 poster screens per session. In addition, all of the posters will be available for viewing anytime throughout the conference. Presentations will consist of 3 times 5 minute mini-oral presentations of 3 or 4 PowerPoint slides followed by 5 minutes of questions given at the beginning, 10 minute and 20 minute mark for each poster session. This will allow delegates to listen to 3 mini-orals in each poster session. Poster presenters are encouraged to make appointments outside the designated poster session times to give their presentations to delegates that were not able to attend their mini-orals. The posters will be in landscape format. PowerPoint will be used to accommodate animations. A presentation template with recommended font sizes will be available shortly.
